Artist Maurice Bouval is a celebrated Art Nouveau metalwork sculptor whose works have been featured at the Paris Salons. While there is no record of this particular object by the artist in the exhibition, a similar work, ‘Ombellifère,’ was recorded as shown at the Salon of La Société des Artistes Français in 1903. Both works feature a stem resting on the base ascending to an inflated scale flower that is larger than life
