Donald Claflin for Tiffany & Co. Diamond Ostrich Brooch
Designed by Donald Claflin and created circa 1971-1972, this Tiffany & Co. ostrich brooch is composed of 18K gold, platinum, diamonds and emeralds. The beribboned ostrich, with cabochon emerald eyes, and guarding an egg, has a textured body with platinum and diamond plumes. A 1970s bit of whimsy from Tiffany & Co., this friendly wild bird represents Claflin's ever experimental and humorous side.
