Daum Nancy Coneflower Cameo Glass Vase
This French Art Nouveau cameo glass vase, by Daum Nancy, features a scene of red blooming coneflowers on an opaque white martelé ground. The coneflowers, which have dark centers, are suspended from dark curving stems that emerge from dark green carved leaves. The glass vase is given wonderful dimensionality in the great range of hues, ranging from the deepest forest green, to the brightest orange and milky whites, and the range of textures as well, from the hammered glass to the smooth, carved cameo.
