A pair of French Art Nouveau carved walnut sidechairs by Edouard Colonna. Each chair top is decorated with a carved stylized leaf surrounded by a curvilinear frame. The chair backs, upholstered sides and seats are completely framed by gently curving carved wood. They are upholstered in a rich blue velvet. These chairs were part of a salon suite that was created for Siegfreid Bing''s pavilion at the Paris 1900 Exposition Universelle.
