A World’s Fair held in Paris to celebrate the achievements of the past century and accelerate those of the present. The Art Nouveau style was universally present throughout the exhibits, seen by over 50 million visitors. Siegfried Bing organized a pavilion to showcase the works of his artists, including Georges de Feure, Eugène Gaillard, and Édouard Colonna. A pavilion designed by French architect Henri Sauvage housed the performances of the American dancer Loïe Fuller, and jeweler René Lalique showed his popular dragonfly brooch.
