The classically-designed cluster cuff links are double-sided with clasped chain connections. The 3 cluster dress studs have gold folding wing backs. A set of three French Antique 18 karat gold and oxidized silver, platinum and enamel brooches with diamonds and pearls. The brooches have a combined total of 87 rose-cut diamonds with an approximate total weight of .50 carat, 4 bezel-set old European-cut diamonds with an approximate total weight of .32 carat, and 3 hanging freshwater pearls. The brooches depict 3 swallows in flight. The brooches are finely engraved on the underside in a realistic feather motif. The later platinum diamond set chain connecting the three swallows is removable. Original fitted box. Swallows were highly symbolic in the 18th and 19th centuries. They symbolized wanting your loved one to return home safely, faithfully, or to simply return home quickly.

An American Art Nouveau gold, peridot, diamond and enamel ring by Marcus & Co. The unique Renaissance Revival motif features green enameled 18-karat gold, two round-cut peridots totaling approximately 1.60 carats, and 30 round-cut diamonds that weigh approximately 1.20 carats. The Renaissance Revival design influence is carried onto the ring shank, culminating in a diamond set into the ring shank bottom. During the first decade of the Twentieth century Marcus & Co. offered a variety of Revivalist-style jewelry. Egyptian-inspired pieces along with Renaissance Revival and Mughal style which were created. Marcus & Co. was also one of the few firms in the United States to create jewelry featuring plique-a-jour enameling, a trend very popular in French Art Nouveau jewelry of the time. They also offered the standard diamond and platinum jewelry popular at the time. Each piece was meticulously crafted, and though there are no official documents crediting George Marcus with the design of the pieces, his credits at the Boston Arts and Crafts Exhibition and later Exhibition at the Rhode Island School of Design attest to his design standing.
