An Edwardian platinum and 15 karat gold "collier de chien" necklace with diamonds and seed pearls. The necklace is composed of 12 strands of freshwater seed pearls that are connected together with the four diamond spacers that consist of 56 old mine-cut diamonds with an approximate total weight of 2.80 carats.

Diamond and Natural Seed Pearl Choker

Art Deco Diamond, Emerald and Pearl Sautoir by Cartier and Mauboussin

A French Art Deco platinum, diamond and natural pearl sautoir signed "Cartier Paris" with an emerald and diamond pendant marked "Mauboussin". The overall length is 37" and has a removable section that enables it to be worn at a length of 33". The seed pearl sautoir was made by Cartier for a French family around 1910. The necklace has 340 old European-cut and 16 rose-cut diamonds that have an approximate total weight of 7.65 carats. In the late 1920's the sautoir was brought to Mauboussin to combine it with the Mauboussin diamond and emerald pendant. The Mauboussin pendant contains 82 old European-cut and 11 baguette-cut diamonds having a total approximate weight of 7.90 carats. It features 1 square-cut Columbian emerald that has an approximate weight of 2.15 carats, 2 pear-cut Columbian emeralds that have the approximate total weight of 1.20 carats, and a pear-shaped drop Columbian emerald that has an approximate weight of 4.30 carats. This piece comes with a certificate of authenticity from Marguerite de Cerval, a conservator from the Mauboussin Archive.

An English Antique 15 karat gold pendant brooch with diamond and seed pearls. The pendant brooch has a bezel set old mine-cut diamond with an approximate total weight of 1.25 carats, and natural seed pearls. The heart shape pendant brooch has a fold down bale and pendant watch fitting "The heart-shaped jewel...emblem(s) of sacred and profane love..." Geoffrey C. Munn. Circa 1900. Antique Diamond, Seed Pearl and Gold Heart Pendant/Brooch

Marcus & Co. Art Nouveau Pearl, Diamond and Emerald Brooch

An Art Nouveau brooch with pearls, diamonds and emerald by Marcus & Co. The brooch has ten semi-spherical pearls, 15 Old European cut diamonds with an approximate total weight of 1.25 carats and an emerald drop. GIA certificate #2171449596 states the pearls are Natural saltwater button pearls. During the first decade of the twentieth century Marcus & Co. offered a variety of Revivalist style jewelry. Egyptian inspired pieces along with Renaissance Revival and Mughal style were created. This brooch is composed in sarpech form which were turban brooches that were worn by Hindu and Muslim princes. The venerable firm of Marcus & Co. was established in 1892 by William, Herman and George Elder Marcus with a shop in New York. The firm distinguished itself as an early proponent of the Art Nouveau style in America, of which this ring is an exquisite example. During the Art Deco period of the 1920's, the firm continued producing fine jewels in the new Art Deco style and expanded with branches in London, Paris, and Palm Beach.
