Almaric Walter: The rediscovery of the pate de verre

The exhibition Almaric Walter: The rediscovery of the pate de verre will be on view through May 12th at the Museo del Vetro in Murano, Italy. There are over 450 objects on display, including several works by Walter, paper documents, original photos, and objects with religious symbols, through which the special alchemy of the artist’s work emerges. The exhibition, currated by Paolo Bellomo and Carlo Mitarotonda, is organized chronologically and covers the entirety of Walter’s production while highlighting the various themes addressed by the pate de verre form. The collected works celebrate the artist’s oeuvre as the synthesis of sweetness, meditation, fantasy, and color.
